The SOUNDSTART project
The SOUNDSTART project aims to provide pre-schools with educational resources in audio format. Lifeline Energy supplies GROW ECDs in the project with their incredible solar powered radio / MP3 players. Wriggle and Rhyme contributes music-based, educational content.
Who is involved?
GROW believes that proper Early Childhood Development (ECD) has the power to change the course of a life – and, in so doing, uplift the fabric of South African society, piece by piece.
Lifeline Energy manufactures and distributes solar and wind-up MP3 players and radios for large education and information projects mainly in Africa. Since 1999, 600,000 power-independent MP3s and radios have reached more than 20 million listeners. Lifeline Energy’s focus is on vulnerable populations, including those displaced by natural disasters or conflict.
