This month we’re celebrating Wriggle and Rhyme’s 14th birthday. It’s been 14 years since that first Wriggle and Rhyme class launched in my lounge in Fish Hoek in October 2008.

It’s been an extraordinary adventure since then and like all good stories, it’s packed with heroes!

Birthdays make me nostalgic, so I’m enjoying reflecting on Wriggle and Rhyme’s story.

This month the blogs are featuring real-life heroes who make Wriggle and Rhyme what it is today!

Baby and Toddler BRANCH teachers

Today I’m celebrating our BRANCH teachers. This is the group of women who run Wriggle and Rhyme branches across Cape Town.

At the moment, we have branches in Melkbos with Marcelle, Rondebosch with Lucinda, Meadowridge with Robyn and Claremont with Clarice.

A very special group

These extraordinary women are such a lovely, sweet, caring and fun group.

Between them, they have almost 24 years experience of running Wriggle and Rhyme classes.

I am in awe of them, as I watch them juggling motherhood with contributing to their household’s income. All of them are resourceful, compassionate and just so lovely to work with.

I’m clapping my hands …

It’s such a pleasure and privilege to work alongside such a wonderful group of women. Today I’m acknowledging everything that they bring to the Wriggle and Rhyme story, and I’m thanking them for being Wriggle and Rhyme heroes.

Thank you BRANCH team! You’re amazing!
